Well-known actress Humaira Himu passed away at home.
Actor Ahsan Habib Nasim, president of the Actors Equity Guild, revealed that she had committed suicide.
Around 3:30 PM on Thursday, Himu was taken to the Uttara Bangladesh Medical College (UAMC), where the hospital`s on-duty physician pronounced her dead, informed Nasim.
In 2006, Humaira Himu began her performing career in theater. Her TV acting career started with the show "Chayabithi."
Her acting prowess was then demonstrated in a number of well-known TV shows, including "Bari Bari Sari Sari," "Housefull," "Gulshan Avenue," "Sonaghat," "Chairman Bari," "Batighar," "Shonena Sey Shonena," and so on.
With her debut picture, "Amar Bondhu Rashed," directed by Morshedul Islam, she received critical acclaim and gained notoriety.
