Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has purchased a 2.67-acre plot in Ayodhya for ₹35 crore from real estate developer House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), the company said.
According to HoABL, the transaction was completed on Friday by Rajesh Yadav, managing director of AB Corp Ltd.
The land is located near HoABL’s 75-acre luxury development project, The Sarayu. Bachchan had earlier bought plots within the same project in January 2024.
This marks his third investment in Ayodhya through HoABL and his fourth property purchase in the city overall.
Previously, the actor also acquired a 10,000-square-foot plot in HoABL’s Sol de Alibaug project.
HoABL chairman Abhinandan Lodha said Bachchan’s latest purchase reflects growing confidence in land as a long-term asset capable of preserving value across generations. He noted that Ayodhya is emerging as a promising location for land investment due to ongoing infrastructure development and increasing public investment.
Founded in 2020, HoABL has become one of India’s leading branded land developers, focusing on technology-driven and transparent land transactions.
The company said it has sold over 13 million square feet of developed land in the past five years and currently has around 34 million square feet under development across multiple locations, including Alibaug, Anjarle, Vrindavan, Dapoli, Goa, Khopoli, Nagpur and Neral.
HoABL also plans to launch new projects in Amritsar, Shimla and Varanasi as it aims to expand its presence to 48 cities across India.
Recently, the company entered the vertical real estate segment with three residential projects in Mumbai covering a combined development area of about 3.1 million square feet.
