Kim Go-eun Donates 50 Million Won to Aid Myanmar Earthquake Victims

Popular South Korean actor Kim Go-eun has made a generous donation to assist those affected by the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar.

 On April 2, international humanitarian organization Good Neighbors announced that the actress contributed 50 million won (approximately 42,000 USD) to support the victims.

The funds will be allocated towards emergency relief efforts in Myanmar, particularly in the central and northern regions. 

These efforts include providing food, daily necessities, and psychosocial support (PSS) programs for children. 

The assistance also extends to the affected areas in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kim expressed her heartbreak upon hearing the news of the disaster in Myanmar, stating, "I was heartbroken to hear about Myanmar, which lost its place of life at one point. I sincerely support the residents of the affected area in their sadness."

Kim Go-eun has a long history of philanthropy. In 2020, she donated 100 million won to support low-income families struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic in Korea, earning her a spot in the Good Neighbors Big Donors‍‍` Club. In 2023, she also contributed 30 million won to help those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
