Brazil, the world’s most successful football team, has secured a new 12-year partnership with sportswear giant Nike.

This fresh agreement, worth $100 million (approximately 12 billion Bangladeshi taka), will extend the collaboration between Brazil and Nike until 2038, replacing their previous contract, which was set to end in 2026.

A key feature of this new deal is the introduction of royalties. Brazil will now earn a share of profits from the sale of their jerseys—something that wasn’t included in their previous agreements.

For the first time, Brazil‍‍`s Football Confederation (CBF) is also allowing Nike to launch licensed products and official stores across the globe under this contract.

CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues praised the deal, saying, "This contract reflects the power of Brazilian football. It’s one of the longest and most successful partnerships in the game. Together, we’ll continue celebrating Brazil‍‍`s extraordinary football and keeping the tradition of ‘Jogo Bonito’ alive."

Brazil first teamed up with Nike back in 1996, and the previous agreement was also set to last until 2026 before this extension.

Dong Bowel, Nike‍‍`s Vice President for Latin America, emphasized that the new deal strengthens their ongoing relationship with Brazilian football.

Nike supplies kits not only for Brazil‍‍`s men’s and women’s teams but also for the beach soccer and futsal teams.

Earlier this year, Nike also signed a deal with Germany’s national football team, ending a nearly 70-year-long partnership between Germany and Adidas.

From 2027, Nike will provide equipment for all of Germany’s teams, including their youth squads, in a deal that will run until 2034.

Besides Brazil and Germany, Nike also sponsors teams like England, France, Portugal, Australia, and South Korea.

With this new deal, Nike has further cemented its presence in the world of football, partnering with some of the biggest names on the global stage.
