The 10th season of BPL starts on Friday (January 19). In the first match of the day at 2.30 pm, the current champion Comilla Victorians and the Dhaka Dominators will face each other. Also, in the second match of the opening day at 7.30 pm, the runner-up Sylhet Sixers and Chittagong Challengers will play.
Almost all the teams have chosen a new captain in this year`s BPL.
Mosaddek Hossain Saikat has been given the responsibility of the captain of Dhaka Dominators. Shubhagat Home, who led Chittagong Challengers last time, remains in his position. Meanwhile, Rangpur Riders chose Nurul Hasan Sohan due to Shakib Al Hasan`s reluctance to captaincy. Comilla Victorians is led by Liton Das. This opener got a new responsibility after Imrul Kayes is removed. Khulna Tigers also have a new face in charge, Enamul Haque Bijoy as their captain.
Meanwhile, Fortune Barisal has assigned former Tiger captain Tamim Iqbal. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is in charge of Sylhet Strikers as usual. The three teams Chittagong, Rangpur and Sylhet have retained their old captains in this year`s BPL.
