Bangladeshi all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz was adjudged the player of the series in the two-match test series that Bangladesh won, whitewashing hosts Pakistan 2-0 for the first time in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Bangladesh, which won their first-ever test against Pakistan, crushing the hosts by 10 wickets in the first test in Rawalpindi last week, completed the "Bangla wash" beating Pakistan today by six wickets in the second test also in Rawalpindi.
With the day`s feat, Bangladesh for the first time advanced to the 4th slot in the nine-nation ICC World Test Championship after India, Australia and New Zealand.
Bangladesh, which won three and lost three in their six test matches of the ICC World Test Championship, is now ahead of England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and West Indies.
In the second test, Bangladesh was in a very difficult situation losing six wickets for just 26 runs, but Miraz pairing with Litton Das made the task possible with a record breaking 156 runs in the 7th wicket stand where Miraz contributed 78 runs.
Miraz earned the player of the series award displaying an all round performance in the two-match test series scoring 155 runs and grabbing 10 wickets.
Bangladeshi batsman Litton Kumar Das was named player of the match in the second test where Bangladesh whitewashed hosts Pakistan, beating them by six wickets in the Rawalpindi test on Tuesday.
Litton, who guided Bangladesh towards a memorable series victory with Miraz, made a world record in the second test contributing 138 runs after losing six wickets for 26 runs.
For his valuable and record breaking performance, Litton Kumar Das was adjudged the player of the match for the second test.
