AKM Shamim Osman, a prominent Member of Parliament representing the Narayanganj-4 Constituency and a key figure in the Awami League, was admitted to a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday (March 19) around 11 am due to severe chest pain.
According to his son, Ayon Osman, Mr. Shamim had been experiencing chest pain for the past two to three days. As the pain worsened, he was promptly admitted to the hospital on Tuesday.
Ayon Osman further informed the press that the attending doctor conducted an angiogram on the veteran politician and MP during the afternoon. Currently, Mr. Shamim is under the care and supervision of a specialist doctor.
