A Dhaka court granted perpetual bail to Amatullah Bushra, a 3rd year student of East West University, who was charged with the connection of the death of BUET student and her friend Fardin Noor Parash.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mallik issued the order, said lawyer Sabbir Ahmed Sajib.
A hearing was scheduled for Thursday on the final report submitted by the DB police seeking Bushra's release. On this day, Fardin's father Noor Uddin Rana, the plaintiff in the case, requested time to file a complaint. Later, the court granted his request and fixed April 16 as the date of hearing.
On February 6, DB Police Inspector Yasin Shikder, the case's investigating officer, submitted the final report demanding Bushra's release. Later, the court granted bail to Bushra till the submission of the investigation report on February 8.
On November 10, Fardin's father Noor Uddin filed a case at Rampura police station alleging that Fardin was murdered. Amatullah Bushra was made the primary suspect in that case. She was arrested that day. Later, Bushra was remanded for five days. After the remand, the court ordered to imprison her.
DB gets the charge of investigating the case. The issue of drug involvement, murders by drug dealers, involvement of juvenile gangs came in front. DB and RAB reported that, Fardin has voluntarily died or committed suicide. DB police informed, Bushra, who is in jail, is innocent in the case of Fardin's death.
