Charred-decomposed body of a woman recovered from garbage pile

The body of an unidentified woman has been recovered from a pile of garbage at the capital's Jatrabari.

The charred-decomposed body was recovered around at 12:30 pm on Friday (December 17).

Sub-Inspector (SI) Farzana Akhter of Jatrabari police station confirmed the matter to the media.

SI Farzana said the body of an unidentified woman was recovered from a pile of garbage beside a pond inside Matuail Landfield around 9:30 pm on Thursday (December 16) upon receiving information. 

After the legal process, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy at midnight.

She said that prima facie it seems the miscreants had killed the woman and left her body there. 

However, the exact cause of death can be stated after receiving the autopsy report.
