A Dhaka court on Tuesday fixed October 1 for submitting further investigation report in a case filed over the death of BUET student Fardin Noor Parash.
The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Haider fixed the date after Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the investigating agency of the case, could not submit the report in due time (Tuesday).
On April 16, the court granted the application of the plaintiff Nur Uddin Rana (Fardin’s father) in the final report submitted by Detective Branch of Police and ordered the CID to investigate the case further.
Earlier on February 6, DB Inspector Yasin Sikder, the investigation officer of the case, submitted the final report seeking the release of Fardeen`s friend Amatullah Bushra.
Police recovered the body of Fardin Noor Parash, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), from the Shitalakkhya River in Narayanganj on November 7, three days after he went missing.
Later, on November 9, his father Nur Uddin Rana filed a case at Rampura Police Station.
In the case, Bushra, and some other unidentified people were accused.
Police arrested Bushra after the case and she is currently out on bail.
