Fardin murder case: After DB police, now CID got investigation

The court has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to further investigate the case filed in the murder of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student, Fardin Noor Parash (24).

Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Shanta Islam Mallik accepted the objection of the plaintiff and gave this order on Sunday (April, 16). Besides, the CID has been directed to submit a report on May 24 after investigating the complaint.

Amatullah Bushra, who was on bail in this case, was present to appear in court.

Bushra's lawyer AKM Habibur Rahman told the media, "The hearing was held on Sunday against the complaint filed by the plaintiff Noor Uddin Rana against the report given by the DB police. After the hearing, the court accepted the appeal and directed the CID to further investigate the complaint and fixed the date of submission of the report on May 24.

On November 7, 2022, the body of Fardin Noor Parsh was recovered from the Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj at around 6 pm by the Naval Police. In this incident, Fardin's father Noor Uddin Rana filed a case against unidentified persons including Amatullah Bushra in Rampura Police Station of the capital. After the case, Bushra was arrested from a house in Rampura area of the capital on November, 10 of that year. In this case, the court granted her five-day remand. After the remand, on November 16, the court rejected her bail and ordered him to be sent to prison. She was released from jail on January 10 when Dhaka's 7th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Tehsin Iftar court granted her bail on January 8.
