State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury has visited the Pasakha Dry Port in Bhutan’s Phuentsholing town.
During the visit on Friday, he discussed the bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Bhutan.
A dry port, also called sometimes an inland port or multimodal logistics centre, is an inland terminal connected to a seaport by rail or road.
Khalid is scheduled to visit Bhutan`s border with Nepal at Kakarbhitta today.
The state minister on Friday travelled to Bhutan via the Indian state of West Bengal`s Siliguri after visiting the Fulbari land port.
His tour is to assess the obstacles and opportunities for export-import activities through the Panchagarh land routes in Bangladesh.
