Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave a donation to shopkeepers, traders and owners affected by the fire in Bangabazar. She allocated Tk 9 crore as Eid present for them. This money has already reached their mobile phones.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina promised to provide maximum assistance to the businessmen affected by the terrible fire in the capital's Bangabazar.
On April 6, she said that the suffering and tears of traders cannot be tolerated during Ramadan. "We will evaluate their help and loss as best we can", Sheikh Hasina added.
