Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been included in the list of top five world leaders who will influence the outcome of the 'COP26' climate conference which kicked off in Glasgow marking the first in-person participation of world leaders since the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic.
The top five world leaders who will influence the outcome of the much-awaited UN conference have been described by the BBC as 'dealmakers'.
In addition to PM Hasina, the BBC's list includes China's special envoy for climate change Xi Zhenghua, Saudi Arabia's Ayman Shasli, the UK's Minister of State for Environment and President of the COP26 Alok Sharma and Spain's Minister for Ecological Transformation Teresa Ribera.
The BBC report called Prime Minister Sheikh at the climate conference the "voice of the affected countries".
According to the report, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh spoke on behalf of the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF), a group of 48 countries with the highest risk due to climate change.
According to the BBC, Sheikh Hasina is an experienced and outspoken politician who will project the latest experiences of climate change at the COP26 conference.
