At least three people, including a woman, were burnt to death after a massive fire broke out at a footwear factory in Ashulia of Savar on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire left 15 others injured while the identities of the deceased could not be known yet.
Firefighters recovered the bodies from the spot while the injured have been sent to hospital.
Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, confirmed the matter.
According to the Fire Service, the fire broke out at Uniworld Footwear factory beside Rupayan Mart building in Jamgara area around 5.16 pm.
On information, six fire fighting units rushed to the spot.
Later, four more fire units joined the extinguishing work.
