Prof Deen Md Nurul Haque, notable eye specialist has been assigned as the latest vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for next four years.
Prof Haque is going to take his new office as the top of Bangladesh’s one of the highest medical institution on March 29, according to new decision of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With a signing of Ministry’s Deputy secretary Mohammad Kamal Hossain, a notice of Monday said with the approval of Honorable president, and according to section 12 of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Act, 1998 has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of this University.
Previously Prof Haque served as post like director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), and the director of the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital.
