Its origin is 187.6 kilometers underground, 40 kilometers south-southeast of the city of Jurm in Afghanistan, bordering Tajikistan and Pakistan.
According to the German Research Center for Geoscience, an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
According to a Pakistan`s news media, Dawn, citing the Pakistan Meteorological Department, an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale was felt on Tuesday (March, 21) night around 9:47 PM in certain places, including Islamabad, Peshawar, and Lahore.
At least two Pakistanis lost their lives and six injured in this earthquake. The disaster management department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the casualties occurred due to the collapse of the roof due to the earthquake. At least eight houses were reported damaged there.
Pakistan Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif asked the emergency management agencies to be on maximum alert.
On the other hand, around 10:20 PM on Tuesday, an earthquake was felt in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and other places in India. Fearing that there may be another earthquake, people left their homes and came to the streets.
