The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has asserted responsibility for an assault on a military intelligence facility located near Tel Aviv. In response to the attack, the city has declared a state of emergency.
As a result of the incident, operations at Ben Gurion Airport have been temporarily suspended, though there have been no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities.
Hezbollah, which receives support from Iran, announced that it targeted the Galil Military Intelligence Unit 8200, situated in the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv.
The group also reported launching a missile strike in the northern suburbs of the city, marking the first time medium-range rockets have been fired at both Tel Aviv and Haifa.

In addition, Hezbollah claimed to have conducted a bombing at the "Stella Maris naval base" in Haifa.
Following the attack, missile alert sirens sounded throughout Tel Aviv, leading to a pause in air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport.
The Israeli military has indicated that there were no reported casualties from this incident.
Hezbollah further posted a photograph of a missile strike in the Caesarea region on Telegram, although no additional details were provided.
This area is notably close to the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
On Saturday, a Hezbollah drone also targeted an area near Netanyahu`s home in Caesarea, although neither he nor his wife were present at the time, and the Israeli military confirmed that there were no injuries in that incident.
