Israel claims to have destroyed ‘one-third’ of Iran’s missile launchers

Iran‍‍`s Tabriz air base damaged in Israeli attack.

Israel’s military has claimed that it has successfully destroyed one-third of Iran’s missile launchers used for surface-to-surface attacks.

"We have destroyed nearly one-third of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile launch systems," said Israeli Army Brigadier General Effi Defrin during a press briefing on Monday.

He further claimed that Israeli forces have now achieved full control over Tehran’s airspace.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel has no intention of harming Tehran‍‍`s civilians.

His remarks came after facing criticism for a previous warning where he had said that Tehran’s residents would have to "pay the price" if Iran attacked Israel.

Following the backlash, Katz clarified his statement on social media platform X, writing, "We have no intention of causing physical harm to the residents of Tehran."

Tensions between Israel and Iran have sharply escalated in recent days, as both nations exchange direct threats and carry out military operations.

The situation remains highly volatile, with growing international concern over the possibility of a wider regional conflict.
