Israel has announced the indefinite closure of its Ben Gurion International Airport until further notice. The decision comes amid escalating reciprocal attacks between Israel and Iran.
According to a report citing Lisa Diver, the airport’s spokesperson, the airport has been officially shut down with no scheduled date for reopening at this time.
Images from the airport show empty check-in counters and passenger lounges, while flight information boards display cancellations for all scheduled flights.
Meanwhile, neighboring countries in the region, including Lebanon and Jordan, have announced that they will reopen their airspace starting Saturday, signaling a partial resumption of regional air travel despite ongoing tensions.
