Nuclear talks with U.S. now meaningless after Israeli strikes: Iran

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei has accused the United States of backing Israel’s recent attacks on Iran.

He claimed that such strikes would not have been possible without Washington’s approval, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

In recent months, Tehran and Washington had been engaged in talks aimed at limiting Iran’s nuclear program.

Referring to these negotiations, Baghaei said, “The other side has acted in a way that has rendered the dialogue meaningless.”

Speaking to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Baghaei added, “You cannot, on the one hand, claim to support negotiations, while on the other hand, allow the Zionist regime (Israel) to launch attacks on Iranian territory. This is unacceptable.”
