An earthquake of magnitude 6 has hit Pakistan. Tremors were also felt in several parts of India and Afghanistan.
According to the report of the Pakistani newspaper The Dawn, several parts of Pakistan were shaken by the earthquake that struck on Sunday morning. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the magnitude of the earthquake was 6 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.
A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck 35 kilometers southeast of Jurm, Afghanistan, said the US Geological Survey (USGS), which monitors seismic activity around the world.
The US Geological Survey also reported that tremors were felt in parts of India, including Afghanistan and the capital New Delhi, in today`s earthquake. The agency also said the epicenter was 40 kilometers south-southeast of the Afghan city of Jurm.
