After Elon Musk announced lifting the 22-month suspension of the account, former US president Donald Trump`s Twitter account "reappeared" on the social media platform on Saturday, according to news agency AFP.
On January 6, 2017, Trump`s account was suspended due to his instigation of violence at the US Capitol Hill. Trump`s account was restored after Twitter CEO Elon Musk conducted a poll, which resulted in a 4% victory for those who wanted the ban lifted.
Over 15 million Twitter users voted in the poll with 51.8% voting in favor of reinstatement.
"The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk announced.
