Mike Hankabie, the US ambassador to Israel, has reported that the American embassy in Tel Aviv was “slightly damaged” during overnight attacks by Iran.
Posting on his X account, Hankabie said the consulate building in Tel Aviv experienced severe shaking due to Iranian missile strikes nearby.
Fortunately, no American personnel were injured in the attack.
As a result, the main US embassy in Jerusalem will remain closed, and staff have been instructed to stay in safe locations for the time being.
