Metro rail to make stoppage at Pallabi station from Jan 25

The newly launched Dhaka metro rail will start making stoppage at Pallabi station from January 25.

Currently, the service runs between Uttara North to Agargaon without any stops in between the stations after it was opened to the public on December 29 last year

Each train will stop at Pallabi station for 10 minutes.

"Metro rail will be operated for the next four hours from 8:30 am. The number of stations will be increased gradually as people get habituated to it," Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director MAN Siddique said during a press briefing on Monday.

He said that according to the plan, the metro service will make stoppage at all stations by March 26.

The Dhaka metro rail was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on December 28 last year.
