Beginning in July of this year, the metro train will operate every day from early in the morning until midnight.
The information was released on Thursday by M A N Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL).
Currently, metro trains on the Uttara to Agargaon line run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
"At least 60,000 passengers can enjoy the metro rail service each hour when it runs in full force," he continued.
The DMTCL estimates that Kamalapur will have rail service by 2025 and Motijheel by the end of 2024. The metro rail will begin running 24 trains on the Agargaon to Kamalapur section by December 2024.
