Popular actress Tanjin Tisha has been granted conditional bail in a fraud and breach-of-trust case filed by online fashion page “Aponia”. The order was passed by Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana.
Tisha appeared before the court on Thursday morning and sought bail in the case. After hearing the petition, the court granted her bail, which will remain in effect until the next hearing.
Plaintiff’s lawyer Salimullah Sarker told the media that Tisha was granted bail on condition that she settle the matter with the complainant, considering the relatively low price of the sari. She was granted bail until the next scheduled hearing against a Tk500 bond.
The lawyer also said that the allegations against Tisha had been preliminarily substantiated in a report by the Detective Branch (DB). “Tisha is a celebrity in the country and is followed by a large number of people. It is unfortunate that the complainant was allegedly subjected to this kind of fraud. I hope the matter will be dealt with through legal means,” he said.
According to the case statement, Aponia executive Md Aminul Islam filed the case against Tisha at a Dhaka court on November 5, 2025.
The complaint alleges that Tisha obtained a sari worth around Tk28,800 from Aponia. Although she had reportedly agreed to promote the sari and pay for it, she later stopped communicating with the fashion page, according to the complaint.
Meanwhile, Tisha is set to make her big-screen debut. She will appear opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan in the film Soldier, directed by Sakib Fahad.
