BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has issued a warning to party members and supporters regarding a fake and fabricated post circulated on Facebook. He urged everyone not to be misled by such baseless content.
In an official press release issued by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), it was revealed that on June 5, a Facebook page named ‘Lamia Chowdhury Lima-Yunus Sarkar! 5 Years Needed’ shared a manipulated statement falsely attributed to Rizvi. The post included his photograph and linked him to BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed in a misleading context.
"I have never given such remarks to any media outlet. The content circulated on Facebook is blatantly false, fabricated, and baseless. I have no connection with it whatsoever."
He further alleged that the motive behind spreading such misinformation was to create confusion among BNP leaders and activists.
The press release concluded with a call for party members at all levels to remain vigilant against such deceptive social media posts and not fall victim to misinformation campaigns.
