Bangladesh Awami League has paid rich tribute to the martyrs of August 21 gruesome grenade attack in 2004. Leaders of the ruling party placed homage at the altar in front of the party central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Saturday (August 21).
AL general secretary, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, Obaidul Quader paid tribute on behalf of the party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Later on, central leaders of the party paid homage.
The party presidium member Dr Abdur Rajjak, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Abdur Rahman, joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Ala,m Hanif, info minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, organising secretary Ahmad Hossain, BM Mozammel Haque, Mirza Ajam, SM Kamal, Afjal Hossain, deputy water resources minister AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, information and research secretary Dr Selim Mahmud, labour secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, relief and social welfare secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, deputy office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua were present in the ceremony.
