Bangabandhu's Homecoming Day tomorrow

The Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be observed tomorrow across the country.

Bangabandhu, the leader and father of the nation and supreme commander of the country's Liberation War, returned to Bangladesh on January 10 in 1972.

He returned after 290 days of confinement in Pakistan jail.

To acknowledge this day, the Awami League and its associate organizations observe the day with various programmes every year.

Bangabandhu took the oath of office as the country's Prime Minister on January 12, 1972.
