Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the Awami League (AL), stated on Thursday that the BNP will struggle to survive without Jamaat-e-Islami.
"We keep stating the same thing—that the BNP supports communal forces—as fact. The BNP is the militant organizations' trusted resort,” he came up with this remark during a media brief held at the Secretariat.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said The BNP and Jamaat are two sides of the same coin, and without each other, they are both outdated.
About a clash in mass sit-in programme in Faridpur, he said there was no chaotic situation on Wednesday, but brickbats were thrown on police from the BNP rally.
There was no chaos on the spot of Mymensingh and no significant incident took place in Dhaka too, he added.
