The authorities have decided to hold the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for 2022 in June and August respectively, reports BSS.
"The reviewed syllabuses of Bangla second, English first and second papers of the SSC and the HSC exams for 2022 have also been rearranged," said Tapan Kumar Sarker, chairman of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Monday.
Last year, the SSC and the HSC exams were held in November and December.
Usually, the SSC and equivalent exams are held in February and HSC in April each year.
The government deferred the exams as the number of Covid-19 infections was on the rise. The exams were held on group subjects with reduced marks to shorten the duration of the tests.
On February 18, Education Minister Dipu Moni at a press conference said that the SSC and the HSC examinations would be held on a curtailed syllabus.
Meanwhile, in-person classes at school and colleges for fully vaccinated students across the country will restart from Tuesday.
The Education Ministry will also hold a meeting with the VCs of all the universities and the University Grants Commission (UGC) and decide on the size of the syllabus for university admission tests.
On January 21, the government announced the closure of all schools and colleges until February 6 amid a renewed surge in Covid cases. The shutdown was later extended till Sunday.
