Two more people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 423 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country during the same period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to the statement, between 8:00am on Saturday and 8:00am on Sunday, 54 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Barishal Division, 49 in Chattogram Division, 154 in Dhaka Division, 81 in Khulna Division, 36 in Mymensingh Division, 29 in Rajshahi Division, 16 in Rangpur Division, and four in Sylhet Division.
DGHS data shows that a total of 16,104 people have been hospitalized with dengue so far this year.
Meanwhile, 56 people have died from dengue in 2025 so far. Of them, two deaths were reported in August. In addition, two people died in January, two in February, one in May, 13 in June, and 36 in July.
