A total of 430 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, while no new deaths were reported during the same period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), through its Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room, released the update in a press statement on Wednesday.
According to the bulletin, of the new admissions, 120 patients were hospitalized in areas outside Barishal City Corporation, 73 in areas outside Chattogram City Corporation, and 67 in areas outside Dhaka Division. In the capital, 37 patients were admitted under Dhaka North City Corporation and 64 under Dhaka South City Corporation. Meanwhile, 26 new cases were reported from areas outside Khulna Division, seven from Mymensingh Division, 31 from Rajshahi Division, and five from Rangpur Division.
During the same 24-hour period, 420 dengue patients were discharged after recovery. Since the beginning of this year, a total of 28,400 dengue patients have been released from hospitals across the country.
