After an extended period without fatalities, Bangladesh has reported a new death from Covid -19, according to the latest update from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The data, released on Thursday, June 5, confirms that one person has died and three new cases have been identified in the past 24 hours.
The official bulletin also states that three individuals have recovered from the virus within the same time frame.
With the latest figures, the total number of confirmed Covid -19 cases in the country has reached 2,051,739, while the total death toll now stands at 29,500. The number of recoveries has risen to 2,019,360.
Health authorities continue to monitor the situation and urge the public to remain cautious despite the relatively low infection rate.
