Dengue claims 3 more lives, 444 hospitalised in 24 hours

Dengue continues to surge across Bangladesh as three more patients died and 444 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours until Monday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

All three fatalities were reported from areas under the Dhaka South City Corporation, bringing the nationwide death toll to 65 since the beginning of the year. The total number of confirmed cases has now reached 18,026.

So far, 16,629 dengue patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals across the country.

Currently, 1,332 dengue patients remain under treatment at various hospitals nationwide. Of them, 952 are receiving care in hospitals outside Dhaka.
