Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted their countrymen on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
Indian President Droupadi Murmu has said the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) inspires all to move forward on the path of harmony and fraternity as she wished her countrymen on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
“Prophet Muhammad gave the message of kindness, simplicity and service to humanity to the world. His message inspires each of us to move forward on the path of harmony and fraternity,” she said in a message on the eve of the holy occasion last evening.
Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the month of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also passed away on the day.
In her message, President Murmu said, “May we get inspiration from the life of Hazrat Muhammad and take a pledge to continue striving for the progress of our country by living in mutual harmony”.
She extended greetings to all of her fellow citizens, especially the Muslim brothers and sisters on the auspicious occasion.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today also greeted his nation on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
“Best wishes on Milad-un-Nabi. May this occasion further the spirit of peace, togetherness and compassion in our society. Eid Mubarak,” Modi tweeted.
Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar also greeted the people of his country on the auspicious occasion.
“Greetings and best wishes on Eid-e-Milad. May the festival be full of peach, joy and good health for all,” he tweeted.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
He expressed the hope that this festival will give new inspiration to enhance peace and harmony in the society.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today extended greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
“Happy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi to all the countrymen. Hazrat Mohammad always gave the message of mutual brotherhood, peace and human service. His thoughts are inspiration for entire humanity,” he tweeted in Hindi language.
Former President of Indian National Congress Rahul Gandhi extended greetings to the people of India on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. “Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi Mubarak! May this auspicious occasion bring peace, harmony, good health and prosperity to everyone,” he tweeted.
Indian National Congress also uploaded a message on its official tweeter page greeting the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of holy Eid -e-Milad-un-Nabi.
