BNP MP Harunur Rashid submits resignation

BNP lawmaker of Chapainawabganj-3, Md Harunur Rashid, submitted his resignation letter to Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today.

All the seven BNP lawmakers have now resigned from their posts.

On December 11, five out of the seven BNP MPs submitted their resignations.

The MPs who resigned are Md Zahidur Rahman of Thakurgaon-3, Md Mosharof Hosen of Bogura-4, Gulam Mohammad Siraj of Bogura-6, Md Aminul Islam of Chapainawabganj-2, and Rumeen Farhana.

Harunur Rashid was not present in the country that time, so he was unable to send resignation personally and instead sent it in by an email.

However, the online letter was not accepted.

He submitted the resignation again after returning to Bangladesh.
