Following their boycott of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JAKSU) election, Chhatra Dal staged a protest march on campus Thursday night.
Eyewitnesses said the march began around 9:15 PM in front of the new Arts Building and proceeded past the JUCSU Election Commission office before moving toward the university’s transport yard.
During the demonstration, Chhatra Dal activists chanted slogans including “Boycott, boycott, boycott JUCSU” and “Farce of JUCSU, boycott, boycott.”
According to two students of Jahangirnagar University who spoke to media, both current and former leaders of Chhatra Dal joined the procession.
