A freedom fighter and former principal of Patgram Women's Degree College was murdered in Lalmonirhat on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as M Wajed Ali.
Omar Faruk, officer-in-charge of Patgram police station, said a group entered at Wajed’s house at around 9:30pm and slit his throat, leaving him critically injured.
Wajed was taken to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
The motive for the murder could not be known immediately. The police are investigating the incident said OC.
