The vote counting for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUSU) elections is expected to be completed and results announced by 7 PM today, Saturday, according to Chief Election Commissioner Professor Md. Moniruzzaman.
Speaking to reporters around 11:45 AM at the university’s Senate Hall, he said that while preparations for announcing the results will take some time after counting is completed, the final outcome is likely to be declared by 7 PM.
When asked whether the counting is being conducted in shifts, Professor Moniruzzaman stated that there is no provision to verify this.
Earlier, on Friday evening, he had indicated that the results of both the JUSU and 21 hall union elections would be announced once vote counting was completed.
