In Chandpur, a guy was detained on suspicion of raping two minors.
The arrestee is Khalilur Rahman, 49, a resident of Sekander Ali house in the upazila's Kalochon village.
Family members said that on October 1 and October 7, after inviting the two girls to the residence with gifts, Khalilur raped them, one of them was 7 and the other was 8 years old.
The girls told their parents about their ordeal later.
The Hajiganj police received a complaint from the victims' parents, who then filed a rape case.
Police officers arrested Khalilur in the neighborhood.
According to Mohammad Zobair Syed, the officer in charge of the Hajiganj Police Station, a rape case was filed against Khalilur. He further stated that the two kids had been sent to Chandpur Sadar Hospital for testing.
