Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka for New Delhi. She will be in India on a four-day state visit at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi with cooperation on water sharing of common rivers, trade and energy, and Rohingya issues are expected to be handled on top of the agendas.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage members departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka at 10am on Monday.
At 12pm The flight is scheduled to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
Muhammad Imran Bangladesh High Commissioner in India and India’s Union Minister of State for Textiles and Railways Darshana Vikram Jardosh will receive Sheikh Hasina at the airport.
She will meet India’s President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the following day.
