Probe report submission deferred for 94th time: Sagar-Runi Murder

A Dhaka court on Monday again extended the deadline for submitting the probe report of the murder case of journalist couple Sagar and Runi.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashedul Alam extended the date till January 4 next year as new deadline.

This is the 94th extension of the deadline for the probe report submission. The same court asked Rab to submit the report by today, on October 31.

Sagar Sarowar was a news editor at private TV channel Maasranga, and his wife Meherun Runi, senior reporter at ATN Bangla, were killed of February 11, 2012, in their rented flat.
