A rickshaw-puller was shot dead, in Pabna’s Ishwardi over a trivial incident last night.
He was allegedly shot by a local Jubo League activist
The deceased was identified as Mamun Hossain, 26.
Locals rescued and took him to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, where a doctor declared Mamun dead.
Arbind Sarker, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police station, said they visited the spot after the incident. Additional police have also been deployed in the area. Process is underway for filing a case.
