Voting ends in JUCSU election, counting begins

Voting in the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) election has concluded, and students are now waiting for the counting of ballots to begin.

Polling took place uninterrupted from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday across 21 separate centres on campus.

After the close of voting, ballot boxes were sent under law enforcement supervision to the Senate Building, where the counting will take place.

The returning officer of Hall No. 21 said, “We conducted polling in a very festive atmosphere from the morning. Turnout at our centre exceeded expectations. Now we are sending the ballots to the Senate, after which the Election Commission will likely begin the counting process.”
