BNP`s Standing Committee has scheduled an urgent press conference to be held on Thursday, May 22, at 4:00 PM at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Members of the committee are expected to be present during the event.
According to party sources, the Standing Committee will present its highest-level position on both national and international matters currently in focus.
The press conference will also share decisions taken during several recent meetings held by the committee. A senior member of the committee is expected to deliver a written statement at the event.
Sources further indicate that the removal of two student advisers currently holding government positions has become a major focus of the BNP’s political strategy.
The party has gathered various pieces of information regarding these individuals and strongly opposes any student representation in the interim government structure.
Additionally, the BNP has officially called for the removal of Khalilur Rahman, the National Security Adviser of the interim government, as part of its broader demands.
