The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election votes will be counted using Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology to ensure a fast and transparent process.
Students marked their choices on six-page OMR ballot papers, which are now being scanned and tabulated.
The ballot counting will take place across 14 machines, with scanning speeds ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 pages per hour depending on the machine.
Once the scanning is complete, the results from all eight polling centers will be consolidated and officially announced from the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.
This system allows for rapid and accurate counting while minimizing the chances of human error, providing a modernized approach to student elections at the university.
