Sadiq Kayem, the vice-president candidate from the Shibir-backed panel United Students’ Alliance, has issued a strong warning against any attempts to sabotage the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) election.
He cautioned that those involved in such efforts would face consequences that, in his words, would be “worse than those of Hasina.”
Speaking at a press conference outside Madhur Canteen on Tuesday evening, shortly after the conclusion of voting, Kayem alleged that a particular group was actively attempting to disrupt the DUCSU election process.
He claimed that this effort was part of a wider conspiracy to derail the long-anticipated student polls at Dhaka University.
Kayem further cautioned that those involved in such attempts would ultimately face a harsher fate than, in his words, “killer Hasina and Chhatra League.”
