Race 4 casting rumours shut down: Akshaye Khanna not in

Actor Akshaye Khanna will not be seen in the upcoming film Race 4, producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed.

There were recent rumours that Khanna might return to the popular Race franchise after the success of his latest film Dhurandhar. Some reports also suggested that he could appear alongside Saif Ali Khan. However, Taurani clarified that Akshaye Khanna has not been approached for the film.

He said the makers have no plan to change the story to bring back Khanna’s character, which ended in the first Race movie released in 2008.

The producer also stated that the cast of Race 4 has not been finalised yet. He dismissed rumours about Saif Ali Khan’s return and reports of Sidharth Malhotra joining the project. According to him, the script is still being developed.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar, starring Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh, has become a major box office success. The film has earned Rs 871.90 crore in domestic collections and is still performing well in cinemas.
